Mahaveer Swami Wildlife Sanctuary(Lalitpur), Mahavir Swami Sanctuary, is one of the many wildlife sanctuaries in Uttar Pradesh. It is 125 km from Jhansi. The sanctuary is spreads over an area of 5.4 km2. Jhansi provides for a wonderful gateway to the Bundelkhand region and has been rendered famous by the legendary Rani Laxmi Bai.

In addition to a variety of birds, the residents include leopard, nilgai, wild boar, sambhar, black buck, blue bull, bear, jackals, langur and monkeys. The best time to visit here is from November to April. There is a forest rest house to provide.

Mahaveer Swami Wild Life Sanctuary is located in Devgar 33 km. away from District Lalitpur Head Quater Devgar & divisional Head Quater at MIrzapur. The total geographical is 13.79 h. it is well connected by road & Rail, nearest railway satiation is Lalitpur on Jhansi train rout. We can accesses by road from Delhi & Jhansi. Distance from Delhi is 504 km. & From Lucknow 329 km. nearest Airport is Khajuraho. In the Sanctuary Area we can See Magar, Ghariyal, Totrise, Pithon Snack but is famous for vulture, Chinkara, woulf, wild cat, Hyna, wild dog, chinkara etc. In flora Saijan, Goonj, Stick, etc. found there.
