To train the officers/employees working in the Forest and Wildlife Department with
the objective to conduct the forest conservation and promotion activities through
the modern scientific techniques the post of chief forest conservator/director,
forestry training institute Kanpur has been created. A forestry training institute
has been set up in Kanpur to provide training on forestry related subjects. Besides
this five forest guard training centers has been set up at Kotawa (Mirzapur), Lalganj
(Pratapgarh), Hastinapur (Meerut), Baipur (Agra), Vandevi (Mau) to train the forest
guards.
Forestry training institute Kanpur conducts training programs for field employees
in nursery management and tree plantation along with motivational training workshops.
